PopCandi AI is changing the way recruiting works—cutting staffing times and delivering better candidates through an AI-driven, always-on recruiting platform.
They needed both a marketing site and a minimum viable product (MVP) for their SaaS platform.



Challenge
But PopCandi's vision required sophisticated data architecture that off-the-shelf solutions couldn't handle.
They needed a platform where multiple companies could review pre-qualified candidates, but with complete data isolation between organizations.
The technical requirements were demanding:
- Many-to-many relationships across five interconnected tables
- Organization-based authentication
- Real-time data synchronization
- And a candidate feedback system that kept evaluations private to each company.
All while maintaining an intuitive interface for hiring managers who just wanted to review candidates and move fast.


Key Deliverables and Results
Built a complete marketing site and MVP SaaS platform from the ground up in Astro, integrating Airtable for database management, Clerk for organization-based authentication, and custom webhooks for real-time synchronization across the entire stack.
The key wasn't just building a recruiting tool—it was designing architecture for scale and isolation. That meant custom webhooks connecting Clerk to Airtable via Astro API endpoints, enabling real-time organization sync when companies sign up. Candidates can appear in multiple company pipelines simultaneously while maintaining completely separate feedback and evaluation data for each.
To give the PopCandi team full control over their marketing content, I implemented PagesCMS for the blog, team members, and testimonials—so they can update dynamic elements without touching any code.

Results
PopCandi's clients now have instant access to pre-vetted candidates the moment they log in. Hiring managers can review candidates, submit ratings and feedback, and track their pipeline—all within a clean interface that hides the complex architecture underneath.
Since launch, the platform has helped PopCandi secure several trial subscriptions from big brand name companies.
